We are located in Poliklitou 4, the commercial triangle of Athens where multi-story buildings with charming arcades make up some of the most important buildings and monuments of Athens’ architectural and cultural heritage. Once the designated commercial area, Athenians came from all parts of the city and its suburbs to do their shopping. It is rumored that the area was once so populated, pedestrians had difficulty crossing from one side of the street to other. Many large companies housed their headquarters in the area including the largest and oldest bank in Greece, The National Bank of Greece, which offered services to traders and professionals in the area. As the impact of globalization slowly changed consumer habits and large shopping malls began opening, supporting the expansion of ready-made clothing, the significance of the area slowly declined resulting in shuttered businesses and abandoned buildings. We are pleased to say that the days of neglect are now over and the identity and glory of our beloved neighborhood is being restored.
